During this time Davis was a research assistant for Trial Advocacy Professor Donald Cochran who was later appointed United States Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee.

Davis opened his own practice in 2016 focusing on litigation and investigations in state criminal defense matters with a general civil practice.  After three years as a solo practitioner, Davis joined a boutique defense firm as Senior Associate Attorney for three more years in the state trial and administrative courts of the federal court for the Middle District of Tennessee.  He joined MLG as Of Counsel in 2022.

Davis’s current practice includes state and federal criminal defense, administrative law, personal injury, real estate, and general business litigation.

Davis has favorably resolved hundreds of criminal matters for his clients in the state and federal courts of middle Tennessee, protected the professional licenses of his clients, and secured hundreds of thousands of dollars for plaintiffs while shielding his accused clients from equally as much.  Davis is also an accomplished appellate lawyer who has prevailed for his clients before the Tennessee Court of Appeals.

Beyond his winning record in the courtroom, Davis is proud of the justice and peace he has brought to his clients over his years of zealous advocacy.   Davis’s fearless representation is why he received the Client’s Choice Award from the lawyer database, Avvo in 2019, 2020, and 2021.  In his free time, Davis is an avid runner and reader and goes to see as much live music as possible.
